I’m Simran Chhibber—though most friends just call me Simi—and sometimes I write under the pen name Mrs. Purple Feathers. My journey with tarot began in the most unexpected way. Before I ever laid out cards on a table, I laid out blueprints. As an architect, I spent years shaping spaces with structure, precision, and vision. Those years taught me the importance of foundations, planning, and design—skills that, interestingly, translate beautifully into the layered language of tarot.

Then in 2015, life shifted dramatically. While expecting my second daughter, I experienced a sudden and profound awakening. I became vegetarian overnight, and soon after, a stream of spiritual practices and healing modalities entered my life—almost as if the universe had been waiting for me to open that door. Becoming a Reiki Grandmaster deepened this shift, allowing me to work with energy in ways that revealed how unseen forces shape our inner and outer realities.

At the same time, my love for teaching and guiding others blossomed. From nurturing children in classrooms to supporting adults as a life coach, I discovered the joy of simplifying complex ideas and meeting people exactly where they are. Tarot became a natural extension of that work—a symbolic guide that opens doorways to clarity, empowerment, and growth.

Today, through The Purple Owl Tarot™, I bring all of these threads together. My decks are designed with warmth and wonder, my courses are built for learners of all levels, and my writing—whether as Simi or under the pen name Mrs. Purple Feathers—carries the same intention: to make tarot feel approachable, magical, and deeply personal.
